"Here we go!” Trump reacts after Russian drones cross into Polish airspace

President Donald Trump gave a blunt reaction Wednesday after Russian drones strayed into Polish airspace overnight before being shot down.

“What’s with Russia violating Poland’s airspace with drones? Here we go!” Trump wrote on his social media platform, leaving the comment open-ended without further explanation.

According to the White House, Trump was scheduled to speak with Polish President Karol Nawrocki about the incident, though it’s unclear if that call had taken place before his post.

Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirmed that Russian drones entered Polish territory during the night, saying Polish defenses intercepted and destroyed several of them. He said authorities tracked 19 separate violations of Polish airspace.

Moscow, meanwhile, downplayed the event. The Russian Defense Ministry insisted it had no plans to target Poland, emphasizing that its strikes were aimed at military-industrial sites in western Ukraine, including facilities in Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, and Lviv. The ministry also said it was open to talks with Polish officials about the incident. Photo by Wikimedia commons.
