Mikey Madison Becomes Dior’s Newest Ambassador

Mikey Madison has a brand-new role — and this time, it’s in fashion.

The 26-year-old actress, fresh off her Oscar win for Anora, has been named the new face of Dior. The announcement comes just as Dior’s new creative director, Jonathan Anderson, gears up to debut his first women’s wear collection at Paris Fashion Week next month.

Anderson says he’s thrilled to collaborate with Madison, praising not just her talent but the way she connects with people through her work. “Her empathetic approach perfectly reflects the house of Dior,” he shared in a statement.

For Madison, the feeling is mutual. “Jonathan is inspiring to me as a designer because of how he tells stories with his collections,” she said. “I’m so proud and honored to be joining the house of Dior as a global ambassador at the start of this next chapter under Jonathan’s creative direction.”

Dior echoed that sentiment in its official release, calling Madison’s presence “magnetic” and highlighting her performance in Sean Baker’s Anora, which earned her the Palme d’Or at Cannes and, eventually, the Academy Award for Best Actress earlier this year.

Fittingly, Madison wore Dior to the Oscars when she accepted her award — a gown that marked a turning point in her evolving relationship with red carpet style. The actress has admitted in the past that dressing up felt a little foreign to her. “I found myself only dressing very comfortably — jeans, a T-shirt, a cashmere sweater, cowboy boots,” she told Vogue. “So, it felt a little unnatural to put a gown on. But now, I have a much better sense of what I like, and it’s great to be guided a little bit.”

With her blend of down-to-earth charm and cinematic intensity, Madison feels like a natural fit for Dior — embodying elegance without losing her own sense of self. Photo by Frank Sun, Wikimedia commons.
